Take A Deep Breath

After a summer spent doing pretty much what we darn well pleased, I openly admit that I have not yet found my groove in dealing with a schedule that includes:

·      football practice for 2 kids (1 2ce a week, 1 3x a week),

·      soccer practice for my other son,

·      piano practice for all 3 boys, on 3 different days, at 3 different times,

·      soccer and football games, all on Saturdays, at overlapping times in different places,

·      PTO volunteering,

·      classroom volunteering,

·      lunchroom volunteering,

·      and lord knows what else I’m forgetting

And oh, did I mention writing?  And being married?  What about feeding the people who live here?

Friends, it’s a bit hairy around here this week.  I’d say I’m looking forward to the weekend, but it includes the aforementioned Saturday.

Breathe.  Right?

  1. Breathe is right. And maybe a nap, or two. Our kids don't do all the sports stuff because my husband and I can't manage it for three kids. Or if we did? We'd be horrible to live with. So we go for the simpler life but I know at least two of my kids would like to be on a team or two. Next year, yes, when it's through the school and less driving around by parents.

  2. I'm so with you on this one! I just spent the last hour and a half entering all the dates and schedules that I got a school and soccer practice into the calendar along with other dates of relevant events that I've gotten recently. Looks like we may have some free time at the end of January! UGH! 2 girls, school, soccer, 2x kindermusik, gymnastics, children's choir, mops, ptc, classroom volunteering, etc…

Last week I was lounging at the pool and on the bow of our boat. This week hit me like a brick wall.

Good luck to you – if you have any great tips for how to keep up with it all and still find time to make & eat dinner please let me know!
