Puppies and Babies

There are similarities, and a few big differences (other than the obvious ‘people’ vs. ‘animal’ one)…

Here are a few similarities I’ve noted in the past two weeks of new puppy ownership:

  • They’re cute.
  • They’re exhausting.
  • They have a schedule and I’m stuck with it.
  • I can’t get nearly everything done.
  • They can only entertain themselves for a short time.  Otherwise, it’s me.
  • They wake up early.
  • They make messes.
  • Their toys are expensive.

Some differences?

  • Puppy teeth:  ouch!
  • Puppies are housebroken much more quickly than children are potty trained.
  • Vet shots don’t hurt.

The really big difference?

  • I can put the puppy in his crate and leave him there for awhile!

  1. Another similarity:
-They like to chew on whatever you most want them not to.

    😉

    Beautiful pup though

  2. Your puppy has the most expressive eyes/eyebrows.

We did the puppy thing two years ago. I'll be doing a post soon about our furniture and why we're not getting any new stuff any time soon.

Wait, just wait, til you see the damage our puppy has done.

The similarities between kids and puppies? It's a darn good thing they're cute, or else…
